What is MakeAPal
MakeAPal Robot Lab is a robot lab to create, program and purchase personalized and friendly robots that uses playful, conversational learning to educate, entertain and engage kids and use wearable devices to monitor health.
Who created MakeAPal?
MakeAPal was created by the founder of mCare System and Mindheart AI, Tony Meador and a team of AI and robot experts, including Dr. Ben Bavarian, PhD, that ran UCI Robotics/AI Lab for 12 years and a team of PhDs and former and current healthcare and education executives. In addition, the team includes game creators including the former manager of Spiderman AR (augmented reality). EduPal was the flagship product from Mindheart to teach kids with brain challenges. EduPal engineers are some of the world's leading AI experts, engineers, teachers and psychologists.
Who can use MakeAPal
MakeAPal is built on EduPal Platform, a trusted HIPAA compliant and secure system that uses playful, conversational learning to educate, entertain and engage children.
What ages of kids can use MakeAPal
MakeAPal was designed to interact with children ages 5 to 10 years old, but many teenagers and adults use MakeAPal.
What do you get with robot?
You'll receive a box containing the MakeAPal Robot, charger and quick start manual. MakeAPal comes pre-loaded with content that gets updated continually and upgrades available. .Some robots receive accessores also listed on product page.
What are the dimensions and weight?
MakeAPal s small in size but big on personality. Its dimensions are 9in x 6in x 12in; with packaging, that's about12in x 15n x 10.6in (check each specifically as these may vary). Outside of the box, MakeAPalweighs just under 3 lbs. With packaging, it weighs 5.85 lbs (tis will vary also)
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free in the US. Non US orders will be charged a shipping fee of 37-99 USD per Robot depending on the actual accessories, country to cover freight, VAT and duty of the respective country.
How do I use MakeAPal Robot
After connecting to Wifi, MakeAPal can interact with your child through voice commands and a simple 7" touchscreen or from a phone, tablet or PC. MakeAPal's capabilities are as big as your child's creativity: ask MakeAPal robot to tell a funny joke, help and motivation with specific apps including math or spelling, sing a song (or compose with ComposeASong App) or even dance (some robots).
How secure is MakeAPal Robot?
Your child's data is encrypted and completely protected, and the ownership of the data lies in your hands as a parent, teacher, physician and other caregivers.
How long is batter life?
MakeAPal charges in just 1-2 hours and provides up to 4 hours (depending upon what apps using) of active usage or 12 hours of standby use. All battery claims are approximate and based on a mixed-use profile (which includes both usage and standby time) under optimal network conditions. Actual battery performance will vary and depends on many factors including signal strength, the age of the battery, operating temperature, features selected, device setting, voice data, and other usage patterns
How do i control MakeAPal?
Children can interact using voice commands and/or the touchscreen of the 7" panel (face)
